Advocacy Terms and Conditions

1. By commissioning Alice to provide advocacy services the following terms and conditions apply:

2. Payment to Alice is via BACS bank transfer and within 48 hours following receipt of invoice.

3. Alice charges £40 per hour. The first half hour is free, following which an agreement between parties to proceed with advocacy (or not) is established and charges apply thereafter.

4. Alice may signpost to other services if her expertise is not appropriate. No charges will be made for signposting information given. Charges will only be made for advocacy work undertaken.

5. Advocacy work may include; online 121 sessions, strategy discussions, support with correspondence, virtual in-meeting support.

6. Alice is not liable for any circumstances, incidents or situations that occur following advocacy work.

7. Although Alice is trained in basic safeguarding and counselling, Alice does not provide social work or therapeutic services.

8. Alice will notify relevant authorities should she consider a person to be at immediate risk of harm to themselves or others.

9. Alice understands how life can be for neurodivergent families and is happy to reschedule appointments by mutual agreement. If an appointment is cancelled and rescheduling is not an option, a charge may still apply.

10. Alice does not tolerate any form of harassment, aggressive behaviour or overt hostility. Such behaviour may result in a termination of service provision.

11. Alice is an autistic person and strives to behave in a neuro-affirming manner. Alice does not promote the use of ABA-type interventions, restrictive practices or 'cure'-based 'therapy'.

12. Alice will not discuss children and their situation while the child is present.

13. Service users consent to their data (name, email address) being held for the purposes of providing advocacy. Service users consent to details relating to their situation being held for the duration of advocacy only. (Alice holds confidentiality in high regard and will not share any given information with any third party unless explicit consent is received, with the only exception being an immediate welfare concern.)
