Alice is a softly spoken advocate with an ability to broker complex miscommunication between parent-carers and service providers, particularly where there may be misunderstandings or differences of opinions relating to autistic ways of being and appropriate support.













Alice holds specific expertise around the use of 'parent-carer blame' within autism provision services and how that impacts autistic children and young people and their families.

With an academic background in sociology and autism theory, Alice is also trained in counselling, domestic abuse, safeguarding and victim support.

Alice has previously held roles within Women's Aid and as a designated Disability Officer. She holds a clear DBS certificate.

Alice can now offer the following parent-carer support

  • virtual one-to-one strategy meetings with parent-carers,

  • virtual meeting support (in-meeting support and post-meeting debrief),

  • signposting,

  • report / letter writing (for complex situations).













     

As a parent to neurodivergent young people, Alice has extensive experience in:

  • EHCP applications, reviews and tribunals,

  • DLA / PIP applications,

  • children's services assessments,

  • CAMHS services,

  • EOTAS provision,

  • raising formal complaints,

  • private Family Court processes,

  • autistic lifestyle, identity, communication and sensory profiles,

  • autistic distress,

  • requesting reasonable adjustments,

  • autistic parenting,

Prices dependent upon individual requirements but equivalent to £40 per hour.
