Alice is a neuroaffirming autism specialist through both acquired experience and academic study.

Alice is a softly spoken advocate with an ability to broker complex miscommunication between parent-carers and service providers, particularly where there may be misunderstandings or differences of opinions relating to autistic ways of being and appropriate support.

Alice holds specific expertise around the use of 'parent-carer blame' within autism provision services and how that impacts autistic children and young people and their families.

With an academic background in sociology and autism theory, Alice has also received training in counselling, domestic abuse, safeguarding and victim support.

As a parent to neurodivergent young people, Alice has extensive experience in:

* navigating multi-professional meetings,
* EHCP applications, reviews and tribunals,
* DLA / PIP applications,
* children's services assessments,
* CAMHS services,
* EOTAS provision,
* raising formal complaints,
* private Family Court processes,
* autistic lifestyle, identity, communication and sensory profiles,
* autistic distress,
* requesting reasonable adjustments,
* autistic parenting,
* and more ...

Advocacy support may include:

* virtual one-to-one strategy meetings with parent-carers,
* virtual meeting support (in-meeting support and post-meeting debrief),
* signposting,
