Alice Running PgCert (Autism) (she / her) is a neuroaffirming autism specialist providing advocacy and consultancy services.

Alice is also a writer and author, using her vast experience as an autistic mother to neurodivergent children to tackle issues around social justice, minority stress, parenting and ableism.

Alice makes ongoing contributions to podcasts and broadcast media.

BOOKS:

Her first book - Helping Your Child with PDA Live a Happier Life - is published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers.

Her second book with Jessica Kingsley Publishers - We Need to Talk About Autism and Parent-Carer Blame is due for publication in March 2026 and is currently available for pre-order.

PARENT-CARER BLAME:

In 2023, Alice authored the report Parental Blame and the PDA Profile of Autism (a large-scale survey looking at the use of parental blame within autism support provision), having also thematically analysed respondent data.

Following the publication of this report (hosted by the PDA Society), Alice presented the findings at the Cross-Party Working Group for Autism (Senedd Cymru) and at the 2024 Centre for Disability Studies, Disability Studies Conference (University of Leeds).
